What is Clicker training?

clicker training is a positive training method, making training fun, positive and extremely rewarding helping to create a wonderful bond between you and your horse.

What is a Clicker?

A clicker is a small plastic box which makes a distinctive sound when pressed.

How does it Work?

clicker training signals the correct behaviour with positive reinforcement. The clicker is the signal saying "Yes, Mr Horse, that's the behaviour I want"

The signal is paired with a treat to reinforce the clicker, encouraging the horse to repeat the good behaviour.

How do Horse Learn?

Horses learn by association, pairing events together. It has been scientifically and practically proved that if a horse can be made to associate a particular task, even and unpleasant one, with something pleasant the horse will tolerate it more readily.

The Clicker is the missing link in Horse/Human communication
