Case Studies
My final report concentrated on the effects of shiatsu on cribbing horses – again complementing my interest in behavioural issues. I chose five confirmed cribbers and treated each one twice. I found lots of shiatsu-related correlations in the kind of horses that had started cribbing – several meridians and points on the meridian, popped up time and again. Although the horses did not decrease their cribbing activity, probably due to it being such a strong, ingrained habit, I do feel that it helped the strain put on their bodies from the repetitive movements of cribbing. I
am carrying on treating one of my case study horses and hope to
ascertain the long-term effects of shiatsu on cribbers. |
